The Dubai edition of Token2049, held for the second time this year, brought the pulse of the Web3 ecosystem to the United Arab Emirates between April 30 and May 1. Vardan Khachatryan, Fastex’s chief legal officer and board member, further amplified the company’s influence through his keynote speech on the IO.NET main stage, titled “DeFi and the Law: What Regulation Should —and Shouldn’t— Do in a Decentralized World.”
Khachatryan underscored the delicate balance regulators must maintain, cautioning against overregulation while urging lawmakers to adopt frameworks conducive to DeFi innovation and growth.
