Miitosupa Tsuchimoto’s Genkai OL Kirigiri Giriko (Office Lady Giriko Kirigiri to the Extreme) manga is inspiring a short “light anime” which will stream on the anime’s official X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok accounts every week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 7:00 p.m. (6:00 a.m. EDT), starting on May 28. A compilation episode will debut every Tuesday.
The food gag manga reviews the “extreme” meals that the office lady Giriko Kirigiri eats just to get by every day, such as untoasted bread flavored with nothing but salt and monosodium glutamate (MSG).
Kaori Shimizu voices the title character Giriko Kirigiri, and Ryōka Yuzuki and Wakana Kowaka play Aya Ichikawa and Yuri Himekusa, respectively.
Dai Nippon Printing is handling the production of the anime, which will have 32 30-second episodes.
The manga has been serializing every Tuesday on the Shonen Jump+ service since December 2024.
