Jesse Eisenberg Recruits New Magicians

Jesse Eisenberg auditions a new troupe of illusionists in the official trailer for Now You See Me: Now You Don’t unveiled on Tuesday.

“I’m talking about a trick that is bigger and better than anything you have ever seen. It’s now or never,” Eisenberg, who plays J. Daniel Atlas, tells the newbie magicians as the latest installment of the Now You See Me franchise promises more stage productions to perform elaborate heists.

To mark the official trailer debut, Lionsgate said it completed a stunt in New York City where $250,000 in digital payments were given away to fans of the movie franchise. A Times Square billboard flashed the words “Now You See Me,” alongside a live countdown clock and phone number that invited locals and tourists to text or call in for a surprise.

As the countdown hit zero, the billboard flipped to reveal the words “Now You Don’t,” just as fans received a surprise text that included the official trailer and instant cash prizes, courtesy of The Horsemen, said Lionsgate.

Franchise newcomers Ariana Greenblatt, Justice Smith, and Dominic Sessa were on hand in Times Square to help carry out what the Hollywood studio calls a visual “heist.” As for the trailer itself, a synopsis from Lionsgate states: “The Four Horsemen return along with a new generation of illusionists performing mind-melding twists, turns, surprises, and magic unlike anything ever captured on film.”

Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher and Dave Franco return as the Four Horsemen, while Rosamund Pike and Morgan Freeman join the ensemble cast.

Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, directed by Ruben Fleischer, is set to hit theaters on Nov. 14, 2025, in the run-up to Thanksgiving.
