Webtoon recorded 20-fold increase in monthly revenue compared to its post-completion average

Netflix’s Weak Hero Class 2 live-action series based on the webtoon of same name topped Netflix’s non-English series’ global rankings for the week of April 21-27 (the show debuted on April 25). The show recorded 6.1 million views during that period, calculated by dividing total watch hours by the series’ runtime.
Following its release, Weak Hero Class 2 ranked in the top 10 across 63 countries, including Brazil, Mexico, France, Belgium, Morocco, Greece, Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand. The show then ranked at #2 for the week of April 28 through May 4, with 6.4 million views. The show ranked at #4 for the week of May 5-11.
The first season previously ranked eighth in Netflix’s global non-English series chart on its debut, and stayed on the top 10 list for five consecutive weeks.
Following the Netflix release of Season 2, the webtoon recorded a 20-fold increase in monthly revenue compared to its post-completion average, according to Korean entertainment media BnTNews.
Weak Hero Class 2 is currently available on Netflix. The English version of the Weak Hero webtoon is available on WEBTOON. SEOPASS and RAZEN serialized the series between 2019 and 2023.
