The container foundation for tomorrow’s AI

Applications are getting more complex. You’re facing increased demand to develop faster, which puts continued stress on your organization’s infrastructure, IT teams and processes. So, you turn to containers. But the question is: How will you implement a container solution that best fits the needs of your organization?

What your organization needs is an application platform with comprehensive tools that help enhance developer productivity, increase security and compliance and deliver strong return on investment (ROI). And this platform needs to do all of this while tapping into tomorrow’s innovations, including powering AI-enabled workloads.

It’s clear that AI is impacting every industry—it’s part of virtually every conversation I have with customers and partners. Organizations are increasingly interested in how they can incorporate AI into their businesses to drive agility, increase customer engagement and uncover insights.

This is why organizations turn to Red Hat. Red Hat has been recognized as a Leader—and furthest in vision—in the 2024 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Container Management. This is the second consecutive year Gartner has named Red Hat a Leader in this report.

Red Hat OpenShift is a comprehensive hybrid cloud application platform with built-in DevSecOps tools. It helps organizations bring cloud-native applications to market faster—wherever they are deployed across the hybrid cloud. I believe this Gartner recognition is a testament to our continued investment and innovation in container management.

I mentioned the need to enhance developer productivity, increase security and deliver strong ROI. But that’s just what you need today. Tomorrow, you’ll need all of this plus the ability to succeed with AI. Gartner estimates that “…by 2027, more than 75% of all AI deployments will use container technology as the underlying compute environment, up from less than 50% today.” You can achieve this with Red Hat OpenShift. Customers are deploying OpenShift in various ways, such as the IT provider for the Basque government to help citizens translate and preserve their native language.

And to address the need for these AI capabilities, we’ve built on OpenShift with Red Hat OpenShift AI—a platform that allows organizations to manage the lifecycle of predictive and generative AI models, at scale, across hybrid cloud environments. We’re in the AI era, and organizations need platforms that support their AI initiatives. With Red Hat, they can experiment with a choice of AI tools, collaborate across teams and accelerate time to market—all within one common platform.

It’s also important to call out that containers are based on open source technology. Gartner notes that, “the inherent container capabilities around scalability makes container technology an excellent environmental enabler for AI workloads.” Leaders are increasingly turning to open source solutions for scalability, transparency, reliability and flexibility—all of which encourage innovation through collaboration.

With our deep roots in open source, we’re uniquely positioned to help you succeed. Day in and day out, our engineers contribute to improving features, reliability and security, helping improve the performance and stability of the platform your applications rely on. Backed by the power of open source, container technologies help teams simplify, speed up and orchestrate application development and deployment.

We’re there with you every step of the way, investing and innovating every day. I hope you’re as excited as I am for what’s to come.
