While February was unusually quiet, March brought a strong wave of product launches, partnerships, and acquisitions across the event tech landscape. From smarter sign-ins and predictive revenue tools to deeper integrations and international expansions, the latest moves reflect a maturing market focused on solving real operational challenges. AI continues to play a central role, not just as a buzzword, but as a tool embedded in practical features aimed at efficiency and insight.

AudiencePlus, a B2B content experience platform has been acquired by The Juice, a B2B content platform. With both companies under the High Alpha venture portfolio, the merged company is now operating under the AudiencePlus name. It will focus on building owned media channels and expanding AI and data tools to help brands grow audiences and drive demand through smarter content strategies.

Blackthorn, a Salesforce-based event management platform, has launched Event Navigator, a mobile app, and enhanced its Messaging app. It has also introduced a new split payments feature separates donations from registration fees. It also hired Chris Kearney (ex-Cvent) as SVP of Sales, and Lauren McCullough (ex-Bizzabo) as SVP of Marketing.

Event Logic, a Sweden-based event management platform, has partnered with Lanes & Planes, a German business travel booking platform. This partnership marks Event Logic’s expansion beyond the Nordics and enables Lanes & Planes users to manage group events directly in-platform.

Events.com, an event marketplace, has acquired parking platform Citifyd to integrate smart parking into its event platform. The deal enables linking parking and ticketing data to offer pre-paid parking via an app and collect real-time analytics. Citifyd’s tech can be used standalone or within the Events.com system. The acquisition supports Events.com’s expansion plans as it prepares to go public on the New York Stock Exchange.

ExpoPlatform CTO Mykyta Fastovets has launched EP Lab, a new research and development center aimed to accelerate event tech innovation. The lab will explore tools like generative AI and offer public access to research projects, education resources, and collaboration opportunities.

Groupize, a venue sourcing platform, has launched DSai™ (Digital Sign-In with AI), a new AI-powered tool for life-sciences companies to digitize and streamline sign-ins for healthcare professionals. The platform supports QR codes, mobile, and paper inputs with optical character recognition (OCR) scanning, real-time license validation, and integration with SAP Concur.

HeadBox, a UK-based venue booking marketplace platform, has raised $3.9 million (£3 million) in new funding. The round was led by Salica Investments with Deepbridge Capital and Egora Ventures. The investment supports the commercial launch of HeadBox in New York City. The company said has already signed 10 venue partners and generated over $25 million in event enquiries. It will also accelerate growth for HeadBox Australia, enabling broader APAC expansion. A new global leadership team will oversee international strategy.

InteleTravel, a global travel distributor, has acquired Tickitto, a UK-based ticketing platform offering API access to tickets for live events. The deal lets InteleTravel advisors book travel with tickets to concerts, sports, and other experiences. Subsidiaries Hickory Global Partners and MGME will offer corporate clients VIP access to top events.

Map Your Show, an expo floor management platform, has launched MYS Insights. The new analytics tool helps trade show organizers track revenue, identify at-risk exhibitors, and improve event performance. It uses AI to forecast revenue, benchmark against similar shows, and support data-driven decisions.

PheedLoop, an event management platform, has launched a Single Sign-On (SSO) integration with iMIS, a popular membership management platform. The company has also launched Time-Based Session Credits, a new feature that automates continuing education credit tracking for events. It calculates attendance duration, sets credit thresholds, and generates real-time reports—eliminating manual tracking and improving compliance.

Skidattl has launched as a geospatial augmented reality (AR) engagement platform supported by a $1M investment from SUM Ventures. The platform creates virtual AR “beacons” viewable through smartphone cameras that can overlay real-time, location-specific content onto physical spaces. The platform is ideally suited for outdoor events, golf courses, real estate, theme parks, campuses, and smart cities. Use-cases include showing stage lineups, ride wait times, course distances, or building directions.

Snapsight, Gevme’s AI-based real-time content summarisation platform, has rolled out a major update it is calling Snapsight 2.0. The winner of the Skift Meetings 2024 Award in the most innovative event technology product category, now offers real-time transcription and translation in over 6,300 language pairs. The platform now also supports custom vocabulary for industry-specific terms, and on-demand processing of session recordings. Organizers can now embed real-time insights into websites.

SpatialChat, a virtual event platform, has been acquired by QuestionPro, a research and experience management technology platform. Backed by new investment, SpatialChat said it will add AI features, AR/VR integrations, and deeper analytics for virtual events.

Swoogo, an event management platform, has launched a native integration with Zapier, a platform that supports automated workflows across different platforms. The integration allows planners to sync data between Swoogo and 6,000+ apps including tools like Slack, Google Sheets, and Mailchimp with no coding required. The integration supports triggers for registrants, contacts, and events.

Voxo, a Swedish transcription and conversation analysis company, has hired Will Curran (ex-Bizzabo, founder of Endless Events) to lead its North American expansion. Curran will scale operations for Voxo Event, the company’s AI-driven platform that delivers real-time session summaries and insights.
